Hi, I am so glad you have decided to visit.

I would like to tell you a bit about myself before we get started with our tour.

As I have stated, I am Miss Becky, Miss Ducky for a few that can't say Becky.  I have been a licensed daycare provider for 17 years.  I am a single mom of a wonderful 17 year old son.  It was when I became a mother that I decided to leave my job as a Youth in Conflict Social Worker, and open a child care facility.  It was my goal to provide the type of environment I would want for my own son and I have done that.

I am very competitively priced for my area, being lower than most.  I am a member of the Pikes Peak Region of Family Child Care Association and the Wildwood food program.  I provide all meals and snacks, and I serve the children well balanced meals and healthy snacks.

I have over 30 years experience working with children.  I have worked with special needs children and adults in camp, rehabilitative and school setting. I have been a Counselor for abused, neglected, runaway and delinquent adolescents and children.  While in college I did my internships at Child Abuse Intervention and A Woman's Place, a shelter for battered women and their children, as the Children's Program Coordinator.  I love working with the children and look forward to their arrival daily.

To show my appreciation to the Police, Fire and Military family's in the Colorado Springs and surrounding areas I donate a free night of child care every third Friday of every month.

Now for a bit about my child care facility.  I operate as a family home.  The safety and well being of your children is of utmost importance to me.  We read stories, work on puzzles, color, count, learn our colors, numbers and letters.  This is done in an informal manner due to the various ages and abilities of the children.  We have a very large back yard and love to spend time out there.  We BBQ, and eat outside when possible, swim in a snap set pool on the deck in the summer, dance, sing, act goofy and just have fun.  I am very proud of my program and I know the kiddos love it too.  Having fun with the kids is one of my favorite things about having a daycare.

Now for the tour.  I am new at this web site thing but I am old hat at taking great care of your children, so I may not have the fanciest site but I am working on it.  The pictures I have posted are approved by the parents.  I felt it was more appropriate for a public forum such as a web page, to mask their identity by photographing as little of their faces as I could.  I hope you understand my need to protect the children in this manner.
